
Christine Hempel has been working in the field of illustration since graduating from University of Waterloo’s School of Architecture in 1991. Specializing in traditional watercolour techniques, her portfolio also includes coloured pencil, acrylic and digital media. Her scope of work includes large scale formal illustrations, design competitions, master planning, and marketing material. She can provides urban design development, informal sketches, vignettes, participatory community design services and fine art.
Christine completed a Masters of Planning in 2009 at the University of Guelph. Specializing in communicating urban design principles for liveable cities, she has recently worked on a variety of projects including architectural heritage, community identity, downtown revitalization schemes, and design charrettes. She has worked on architectural, landscape, and master plans for large and small firms across North America, Europe and Asia.
